These are the 10 industries Abstrakt's SDRs call for HVAC work, with how many of each are in the Albany-Schenectady metro and who to ask for. Buildings per contractor: Albany and nearby markets
67 nonresidential plumbing and HVAC contractors are based in the Albany-Schenectady metro. That is 6 fewer than a year ago. When a contractor closes or sells, its customers go looking for a new one. The trade is at about the national concentration. 10.6 larger HVAC-buying buildings per contractor puts Albany 39 of 100 markets, and 3 of 6 in New York. That sits mid-pack: real room to grow, but the best accounts are contested. Albany has more larger buildings per contractor than the nearest markets.

How Abstrakt runs it
What your Albany appointment-setting program looks like
Your outsourced sales development team works the numbers above under your name. Here is the plan for Albany commercial mechanical contractors.
01
Build the Albany list
Abstrakt's records already hold 989 eligible HVAC targets in the Albany-Schenectady metro. Your ideal customer profile becomes a target list drawn from those records and the 712 larger HVAC-buying buildings in the metro, starting in Albany County and Saratoga County. That fits inside the 1,500-account list a Foundation program starts with, leaving room to add Poughkeepsie if your crews travel.
02
Reach the person who signs
For HVAC, that starts with the practice administrator or office manager at medical and dental office buildings, then two or three contacts at each of the 224 Tier 1 sites. Calls, email and LinkedIn run together; Growth adds direct mail and intent data.
03
Call every month, with the right message
Your SDR calls all year. Apr–Jun, Sep–Nov is the push for bid meetings ahead of peak service (Dec–Mar, Jul–Aug); the other months lead with service problems, renewals and budgets, so the pipeline never stops filling.
04
Book only qualified meetings
Every meeting passes Right Company, Right Contact and Right Timing, and arrives with the equipment notes, the incumbent and the renewal month.
05
See every dial
The Results Portal shows every call, email, conversation and booked meeting in the Albany program, around the clock.
Guaranteed. We agree the activity or qualified-appointment number in writing before launch. If we miss it, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.

A phased modernization of the main terminal at Albany International Airport in Colonie, centered on a new departure hall connected to the TSA checkpoint and the North Parking Garage.

A two-story, multi-tenant medical office building at 612 Maple Avenue in Wilton, Saratoga County, with clinic, imaging and ambulatory surgery space.
A newly occupied medical office building with surgery and imaging space needs medical-grade cleaning, HVAC service agreements, fire protection inspections and grounds maintenance from day one.
GlobalFoundries New York Advanced Packaging and Photonics Center
Announced January 2025
A center for advanced chip packaging and testing, including silicon photonics, built within GlobalFoundries' existing Fab 8 campus in Malta, Saratoga County.
