The 8 industries a Springfield HVAC program prospects into
Springfield HVAC474target locations across 8 industries
These are the 8 industries Abstrakt's SDRs call for HVAC work, with how many of each are in the Springfield metro and who to ask for. No HVAC-buying category is markedly over-represented here, so the list should follow size and fit rather than one dominant industry. Hotels and warehousing and distribution are thinner than the national mix, so treat them as selective targets.

Buildings per contractor: Springfield and nearby markets
45 nonresidential plumbing and HVAC contractors are based in the Springfield metro. That is 3 fewer than a year ago. When a contractor closes or sells, its customers go looking for a new one. The trade is at about the national concentration. 10.5 larger HVAC-buying buildings per contractor puts Springfield 40 of 100 markets, and 1 of 3 in Massachusetts. That sits mid-pack: real room to grow, but the best accounts are contested. Springfield has more larger buildings per contractor than the nearest markets.

How Abstrakt runs it
What your Springfield appointment-setting program looks like
Your outsourced sales development team works the numbers above under your name. Here is the plan for Springfield commercial mechanical contractors.
01
Build the Springfield list
Abstrakt's records already hold 644 eligible HVAC targets in the Springfield metro. Your ideal customer profile becomes a target list drawn from those records and the 474 larger HVAC-buying buildings in the metro. That fits inside the 1,500-account list a Foundation program starts with, leaving room to add Hartford if your crews travel.
02
Reach the person who signs
For HVAC, that starts with the plant engineer at manufacturing plants, then two or three contacts at each of the 182 Tier 1 sites. Calls, email and LinkedIn run together; Growth adds direct mail and intent data.
03
Call every month, with the right message
Your SDR calls all year. Apr–Jun, Sep–Nov is the push for bid meetings ahead of peak service (Dec–Mar, Jul–Aug); the other months lead with service problems, renewals and budgets, so the pipeline never stops filling.
04
Book only qualified meetings
Every meeting passes Right Company, Right Contact and Right Timing, and arrives with the equipment notes, the incumbent and the renewal month.
05
See every dial
The Results Portal shows every call, email, conversation and booked meeting in the Springfield program, around the clock.
Guaranteed. We agree the activity or qualified-appointment number in writing before launch. If we miss it, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.
Exclusive. We run one program per trade per market, so we will not run HVAC appointment setting for a direct competitor in Springfield.
Flat monthly pricing. Foundation is $5,000 a month (best for $2M to $10M revenue), Growth $8,500 (best for $10M to $50M), Enterprise custom. See what each plan includes.

STCC School of Health and Patient Simulation relocation to Scibelli Hall
Under construction
A multi-floor renovation of Scibelli Hall (Building 2), a 178,000-square-foot building at Springfield Technical Community College, to house more than 20 healthcare programs and the SIMS Medical Center.
Converting five floors into simulation labs and clinical classrooms means new ventilation, medical gas and power work, then flooring and paint, with completion expected in winter 2027-2028; once 20-plus healthcare programs move in, the simulation labs need clinical-grade cleaning.
A state-funded upgrade of the MassMutual Center arena and convention center in downtown Springfield, including new fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ventilation, sound and lighting, kitchens and concessions.
Work is phased around the Thunderbirds hockey season over five years, so fire protection, mechanical and electrical contractors will see a series of packages rather than one bid, and the renovated concession areas and athlete facilities bring flooring work.
A new police station at 6 Union Street in Westfield, on more than three acres, replacing the 1972 station on Washington Street.
Construction runs about 18 months from the August 2026 groundbreaking, with site paving early and mechanical, electrical and technology systems through 2027, and a new building on a three-acre site needs grounds work and ongoing landscape maintenance once it opens.
Developer selected, contract under legal challenge
A new state courthouse complex across from Union Station in downtown Springfield to replace the Roderick Ireland Courthouse, to be built and leased to the courts by the Liberty Junction Team with Suffolk Construction as general contractor.
The $2 billion figure is the 40-year lease contract, not the construction cost; if the selection holds, a downtown courthouse of this size brings long mechanical, electrical, fire protection and building-services scopes, and because the developer owns the building and leases it to the courts, janitorial work is a contract the owner will let.
Health systems, campuses, large employers and industrial parks hold the biggest concentrations of buildings in the metro. Each fact links to its source, checked 2026-10.

12-month calling calendar
What to say to Springfield facility teams, month by month
Average highs reach 83°F in July and lows drop to 16°F in January, for about 486 cooling and 6,455 heating degree days a year. Heating is the dominant load. Fall is the bigger buying window, and summer cooling still produces its own replacement calls.
Your SDR calls every month. The calendar changes the message, not the effort: push for bid meetings in the red months, lead with service problems in peak months, and build the renewal list the rest of the year.
