AI sales development

AI sales development with a person on every call

Abstrakt uses AI and data where they help: choosing who to call, training and certifying reps with AI role plays, and turning every conversation into follow-up. Trained U.S.-based SDRs make the calls, and every meeting is checked before it reaches you.

The short answer

What is AI sales development?

AI sales development is the use of software, including AI models, in the work an SDR does: choosing who to contact, preparing the rep, running the outreach and following up. Some providers sell AI SDRs that send messages on their own. Abstrakt uses the technology around a human SDR instead: the platform decides who to call, trains and tests the rep before they call for you, and turns every conversation into follow-up. A trained, certified person makes every call.

We think that split is the right one for the buyers our clients sell to. Facility, operations and finance buyers still decide on a call with a person who knows their building or business. Volume of messages is not the same as a conversation.

Where the technology works

Where AI and data do the work in an Abstrakt program

All of this runs in Abstrakt Intelligence, the software our sales floor works in. You do not license, configure or staff it; you see what it produces.

  1. Who to call

The prospect list is built from 14M+ U.S. commercial buildings mapped, with 200+ intent triggers monitored and 2.8B+ signals processed per quarter. Criteria start from the qualified appointments a playbook has already produced, and every prospect is reviewed before the list is assigned.

  2. An AI trainer before the first dial

Reps practice face to face with an AI trainer on camera, then run a recorded role-play call where the AI plays your prospect and raises pushback the rep has not seen in advance. The call is graded on the path the rep took.

  3. Certification gates the dialer

A rep is certified only after hitting every scorecard criterion, handling every pushback raised and booking the meeting in the role play. Until then they cannot dial your list.

  4. Recovery from the transcript

When a call transcript shows pushback that could have been answered, a recovery task is created automatically, with the counter the first rep did not use and a prepared opening line. A rep calls back on a recorded line.

  5. Follow-up written from the call

Every completed call is processed automatically. What the prospect said becomes a notecard, a LinkedIn connection request or an email, depending on how the call went. A prospect who is not a fit is suppressed on every channel.

  6. Checks before delivery

Every booked meeting is graded against a scorecard and reviewed with the call transcript before it reaches you, then tracked from meeting held to closed.

Where people do the work

What stays human, on purpose

  • The call. Certified U.S.-based reps dial from the list and work an interactive talk track that branches on what the prospect actually says. Every call runs on a recorded line.
  • The training. Every rep completes two weeks of extensive training before taking a call on the floor. Every rep is certified on a client, including AI role plays, before representing that client. The AI role play is part of that certification, not a replacement for it.
  • The method. The ENGAGE Sales Process sets how every call runs. Abstrakt's founders have more than 35 years of experience in sales scripting.
  • The grade. A reviewer who did not make the call scores the recording on the 25-point scorecard.
  • The relationship. Monthly collaboration calls walk through your program and the Results Portal with you, including the real calls made on your account.
Choosing an approach

AI SDR tools, in-house SDRs and a technology-enabled team

Each has a place. The question is what your buyer responds to and who manages the work.

How it shows up

What the technology changes in the numbers you see

Our sales center data covers 3.1M+ calls and 25,000+ appointments across 15 commercial service verticals. Across that history, SDRs averaged about 125 dials per appointment, from 78 in commercial fire protection to 169 in LED lighting (Abstrakt sales center, Performance Intelligence, national, as of October 2026). That is history, not a promise of results.

The platform is how that history gets used: playbook criteria come from the meetings a vertical has already produced, and every call adds to it. You see your own program in the Results Portal: every dial, conversation and booked meeting, and the calls themselves.

Pricing

What it costs

The technology is included in every program; you do not pay for it separately. Outbound BDR is starting at $5,000 per month. Enterprise SDR/BDR has custom pricing. If we miss the number, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.

AI Sales Development questions, answered

Does Abstrakt use AI SDRs?+

No AI makes our calls. Certified U.S.-based reps make every call on a recorded line. We use AI and data around them: to build and review the prospect list, to train and certify reps with AI role plays, to create recovery tasks from call transcripts and to write follow-up from what the prospect said.

What does the AI trainer do?+

It runs a live role play on camera. The AI plays your prospect and raises pushback the rep has not seen in advance, the call is recorded, and it is graded on the path the rep took. A rep who does not hit every scorecard criterion, handle every pushback and book the meeting is not certified to call for you.

Is an AI SDR cheaper than a human SDR?+

Per message, usually. Per qualified meeting, it depends on your buyer. If your buyers decide on a phone call with someone who understands their business, volume alone rarely books the meeting. Run your own numbers in the SDR cost calculator.

Do I need to buy or learn the software?+

No. Abstrakt Intelligence runs underneath your program. You see the output: reviewed meetings with a brief, and your program activity and call recordings in the Results Portal.

What data does the platform use to choose who to call?+

The account map covers 14M+ U.S. commercial buildings mapped, with 200+ intent triggers monitored and 2.8B+ signals processed per quarter. Each list starts from criteria that already produced qualified appointments in your vertical.

How do you check the meetings?+

Every booked meeting is graded on the 25-point scorecard by a reviewer who did not make the call, and checked against the call transcript before it is delivered to you.
