Buildings per contractor: Tampa and nearby markets
144 fire alarm and security systems contractors are based in the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro. That is 9 fewer than a year ago. When a contractor closes or sells, its customers go looking for a new one. The trade is 31% more concentrated than the U.S. as a whole. Facility and safety teams here already hear from fire protection contractors, and a specific reason to talk beats a generic pitch. 28.5 larger fire-protection-buying buildings per contractor puts Tampa 83 of 96 markets, and 5 of 8 in Florida. That is toward the crowded end, so growth here comes mostly from displacing incumbents at renewal. If you can serve North Port and Orlando, they have more larger buildings per contractor than Tampa.
Tier 1 covers restaurants, manufacturing plants and senior living and skilled nursing with 50 or more people on site.
How Abstrakt runs it
What your Tampa appointment-setting program looks like
Your outsourced sales development team works the numbers above under your name. Here is the plan for Tampa fire protection contractors.
01
Build the Tampa list
Your ideal customer profile becomes a target list drawn from the 4,106 larger fire-protection-buying buildings in the metro, starting in Hillsborough County and Pinellas County. That is about 2.7 times the 1,500-account list a Foundation program starts with, so the list is ranked Tier 1 first and worked in waves.
02
Reach the person who signs
For fire protection, that starts with the owner or general manager at restaurants, then two or three contacts at each of the 1,014 Tier 1 sites. Calls, email and LinkedIn run together; Growth adds direct mail and intent data.
03
Call every month, with the right message
Your SDR calls all year. With no strong weather season, inspection due dates and contract renewal sets the message, and your SDR learns it account by account on the first call.
04
Book only qualified meetings
Every meeting passes Right Company, Right Contact and Right Timing, and arrives with the systems on site, the incumbent inspector, open deficiencies and the inspection due dates.
05
See every dial
The Results Portal shows every call, email, conversation and booked meeting in the Tampa program, around the clock.
Guaranteed. We agree the activity or qualified-appointment number in writing before launch. If we miss it, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.

A six-story, 64-bed patient tower plus a five-story parking garage and expanded surgical and cardiac catheterization space at AdventHealth Carrollwood in Hillsborough County.
The garage opens first, then the tower targets 2029, so paving and electrical work comes early and mechanical, fire protection and interior finish scopes follow through 2028.
A new Rays ballpark on the Dale Mabry campus near Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, approved by Tampa City Council and Hillsborough County in August 2026 and anchoring a planned mixed-use district.
Public funding approval moves the project toward design and bidding; the team targets a 2029 opening, and the surrounding offices, hotels, housing and college campus would add years of follow-on building work.
