Who your SDR calls

The 9 industries a Madison flooring program prospects into

These are the 9 industries Abstrakt's SDRs call for flooring work, with how many of each are in the Madison metro and who to ask for. Compared with the U.S. as a whole, Madison leans toward senior living and skilled nursing (1.70x), apartment and multifamily management companies (1.58x) and owner-occupied and owner-managed commercial buildings (1.17x). Build the list around those categories. Commercial property management firms and private K-12 schools are thinner than the national mix, so treat them as selective targets.

9 nonresidential flooring contractors are based in the Madison metro. 1 more opened over the past year, so buyers are fielding new names. The trade is 43% more concentrated than the U.S. as a whole. Facility and property teams here already hear from commercial flooring contractors, and a specific reason to talk beats a generic pitch. The BLS count shows 9 nonresidential flooring contractors in the Madison metro, too few to rank fairly against other markets (we rank markets with 10 or more). Some firms doing this work are coded under other trades, so treat the 66.6 buildings per contractor as a sign of thin local coverage, not a precise ratio. If you can serve Milwaukee, it has more larger buildings per contractor than Madison.

How Abstrakt runs it

What your Madison appointment-setting program looks like

Your outsourced sales development team works the numbers above under your name. Here is the plan for Madison commercial flooring contractors.

  1. 01

    Build the Madison list

Your ideal customer profile becomes a target list drawn from the 599 larger flooring-buying buildings in the metro, starting in Dane County. That fits inside the 1,500-account list a Foundation program starts with, leaving room to add Milwaukee if your crews travel.

  2. 02

    Reach the person who signs

For flooring, that starts with the practice administrator at ambulatory health care: physician, dental, outpatient and urgent care, then two or three contacts at each of the 122 Tier 1 sites. Calls, email and LinkedIn run together; Growth adds direct mail and intent data.

  3. 03

Call every month, with the right message

Your SDR calls all year. With no strong weather season, renovation or tenant turnover timing sets the message, and your SDR learns it account by account on the first call.

  4. 04

    Book only qualified meetings

Every meeting passes Right Company, Right Contact and Right Timing, and arrives with the floor types, the square footage and the renovation timing.

  5. 05

    See every dial

The Results Portal shows every call, email, conversation and booked meeting in the Madison program, around the clock.

Guaranteed. We agree the activity or qualified-appointment number in writing before launch. If we miss it, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.

Exclusive. We run one program per trade per market, so we will not run flooring appointment setting for a direct competitor in Madison.

Flat monthly pricing. Foundation is $5,000 a month (best for $2M to $10M revenue), Growth $8,500 (best for $10M to $50M), Enterprise custom. See what each plan includes.

Galway Companies' mixed-use village on about 12.5 acres along West Broadway in Monona, with close to 700 apartments, about 25,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 1.5-acre city park; the first phase replaces the Broadway Building at 1709 W. Broadway.

Phase one is two six-story buildings with about 357 apartments, covered parking and surface lots for retail, so shell, roofing, interior finish and lot paving work runs into 2028, with a second two-building phase planned next door.
