How Abstrakt runs it

What your Pittsburgh appointment-setting program looks like

Your outsourced sales development team works the numbers above under your name. Here is the plan for Pittsburgh commercial painting contractors.

  1. 01

    Build the Pittsburgh list

Your ideal customer profile becomes a target list drawn from the 3,560 larger painting-buying buildings in the metro, starting in Allegheny County and Westmoreland County. That is about 2.4 times the 1,500-account list a Foundation program starts with, so the list is ranked Tier 1 first and worked in waves.

  2. 02

    Reach the person who signs

For painting, that starts with the facilities manager at retail stores, then two or three contacts at each of the 1,012 Tier 1 sites. Calls, email and LinkedIn run together; Growth adds direct mail and intent data.

  3. 03

Call every month, with the right message

Your SDR calls all year. Feb–Apr is the push for bid meetings ahead of the work season (May–Oct); the other months lead with service problems, renewals and budgets, so the pipeline never stops filling.

  4. 04

    Book only qualified meetings

Every meeting passes Right Company, Right Contact and Right Timing, and arrives with the surface notes, the last repaint and the budget year.

  5. 05

    See every dial

The Results Portal shows every call, email, conversation and booked meeting in the Pittsburgh program, around the clock.

Guaranteed. We agree the activity or qualified-appointment number in writing before launch. If we miss it, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.

Exclusive. We run one program per trade per market, so we will not run painting appointment setting for a direct competitor in Pittsburgh.

Flat monthly pricing. Foundation is $5,000 a month (best for $2M to $10M revenue), Growth $8,500 (best for $10M to $50M), Enterprise custom. See what each plan includes.

Pittsburgh projects that create painting work

Named, sourced projects in the metro, current as of 2026-09. Each one is a reason to call before the work is awarded.

$63 million

AHN Forbes Hospital infrastructure project

Announced June 2026

Allegheny Health Network is modernizing building systems at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville and adding a two-story building to house the upgrades plus a conference and education center, replacing learning centers being demolished.

The scope centers on chilled water capacity, electrical substation capacity and two new 2.75-megawatt emergency generators, which is mechanical and electrical work first, followed by interior finishes in the new conference center, where flooring and painting packages come last.

$119 million

Hempfield Area High School renovation

Under construction; broke ground June 2026, completion expected June 2029

A three-phase gut renovation of the 600,000-square-foot Hempfield Area High School in Westmoreland County, built in 1956, including a 70,000-to-80,000-square-foot two-story addition.

Phase one includes new roofs on the pool, auditorium, high school and field house, later phases redo classrooms, the cafeteria and library and rework the parking lot, so roofing, interior finish and paving contractors each have work through 2029.

$6.7 million

Shaler Area Middle School capital renovation

Contracts awarded March 2026; work starting June 2026

A package of work at Shaler Area Middle School on Mt. Royal Boulevard in Shaler Township, Allegheny County, paid for with a $7.5 million bond and a $1.3 million state grant, with more paving and door work planned at Reserve Primary School.

The board's contracts split the job by trade: about $2.03 million for roofing, $1.65 million for HVAC, $708,000 for electrical and $181,270 for painting, plus paving and exterior lighting, a clear example of how suburban districts let separate prime contracts.

South Fayette new elementary school

Under construction; broke ground April 2026, completion slated for fall 2028

A new three-story elementary school for more than 1,000 students in South Fayette Township, Allegheny County, with spaces for STEM, physical therapy and sensory needs.

A new three-story school on its own site brings roofing, site landscaping, flooring and painting packages ahead of the fall 2028 opening, then grounds maintenance after it opens.

WPXI, 2026-04-29 →

North Park Observation Tower restoration

Under construction; broke ground August 2026

Restoration of the 102-foot, 1937 observation tower in Allegheny County's North Park in McCandless, a former water tank with a 154-step spiral staircase and terrazzo floors, to reopen it to the public.

Besides restoring the tower's architectural features, the job covers a one-acre wildflower meadow, native plantings and shade trees, a new parking lot, accessible paths and a concrete plaza, so landscape, paving and finish contractors all have a piece.

Licensing that affects who you can book

Pennsylvania has no state license for most construction contractors, and the Attorney General's home improvement registration applies only to residential work, not commercial properties. Licensing is handled locally, with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh both requiring contractor and trade licenses.
