Buildings per contractor: Greenville and nearby markets
102 nonresidential plumbing and HVAC contractors are based in the Greenville-Anderson metro. That is 10 fewer than a year ago. When a contractor closes or sells, its customers go looking for a new one. The trade is 44% more concentrated than the U.S. as a whole. Facility teams here already hear from commercial mechanical contractors, and a specific reason to talk beats a generic pitch. 8.1 larger HVAC-buying buildings per contractor puts Greenville 74 of 100 markets, and 1 of 3 in South Carolina. That is toward the crowded end, so growth here comes mostly from displacing incumbents at renewal. If you can serve Knoxville, it has more larger buildings per contractor than Greenville.

How Abstrakt runs it
What your Greenville appointment-setting program looks like
Your outsourced sales development team works the numbers above under your name. Here is the plan for Greenville commercial mechanical contractors.
01
Build the Greenville list
Abstrakt's records already hold 1,543 eligible HVAC targets in the Greenville-Anderson metro. Your ideal customer profile becomes a target list drawn from those records and the 829 larger HVAC-buying buildings in the metro, starting in Greenville County and Anderson County. That is close to the 1,500-account list a Foundation program starts with, so one program can cover the whole metro.
02
Reach the person who signs
For HVAC, that starts with the plant engineer at manufacturing plants, then two or three contacts at each of the 302 Tier 1 sites. Calls, email and LinkedIn run together; Growth adds direct mail and intent data.
03
Call every month, with the right message
Your SDR calls all year. Mar–May, Sep–Nov is the push for bid meetings ahead of peak service (Dec–Feb, Jun–Aug); the other months lead with service problems, renewals and budgets, so the pipeline never stops filling.
04
Book only qualified meetings
Every meeting passes Right Company, Right Contact and Right Timing, and arrives with the equipment notes, the incumbent and the renewal month.
05
See every dial
The Results Portal shows every call, email, conversation and booked meeting in the Greenville program, around the clock.
Guaranteed. We agree the activity or qualified-appointment number in writing before launch. If we miss it, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit it.
Exclusive. We run one program per trade per market, so we will not run HVAC appointment setting for a direct competitor in Greenville.
Flat monthly pricing. Foundation is $5,000 a month (best for $2M to $10M revenue), Growth $8,500 (best for $10M to $50M), Enterprise custom. See what each plan includes.

Greenville-Anderson projects that create HVAC work
Named, sourced projects in the metro, current as of 2026-09. Each one is a reason to call before the work is awarded.
$350 million
Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital expansion
Under construction
A three-story, 110,000-square-foot patient tower and renovation that takes Greer Memorial Hospital from 82 to 175 licensed beds, plus a three-story, 100,000-square-foot medical office building on South Buncombe Road in Greer.
The medical office building runs from early 2026 to mid-2027 and the hospital phases finish in early 2028, so mechanical, electrical and fire protection work stays active for two years, with flooring and painting in the renovated units.
A 50-acre medical campus at 351 McCarter Road in Fountain Inn with a 130,000-square-foot medical office building and a 27,000-square-foot outpatient surgery center, serving southern Greenville County.
First patients are expected in December 2027, so site paving and building systems come through 2026 and 2027, followed by recurring cleaning and grounds contracts for a large outpatient campus.
A wood products manufacturing plant at 1205 Hamby Road in Honea Path, Anderson County, reusing a former textile plant and creating 217 jobs.
Operations are planned for the second quarter of 2027, so retrofitting an older mill building points to roofing, electrical service, sprinkler and mechanical upgrades through the next year.
A two-tower mixed-use development in downtown Greenville with about 327 residential units, about 8,500 square feet of commercial space and a public plaza.
Two residential towers moving from site work to vertical construction create long-running mechanical, electrical, fire protection and interior finish scopes, and the plaza adds hardscape and landscaping.
Downtown Greenville City Hall, arena and Main Street projects
Design approved
Three downtown Greenville projects cleared by the Design Review Board: a City Hall modernization, a Bon Secours Wellness Arena renovation with a larger plaza and covered terrace, and a five-story mixed-use building on Main Street.
City Hall work could start early 2027 and finish in late 2028; renovating occupied public buildings means phased electrical, mechanical, glazing-related finish and painting work rather than a single new build.
